This project is a collaboration between teachers and Writing Centres at Vanier and Concordia to develop AI tools which help the student writing process, protect student learning, and uphold academic integrity. The team had built an essay checking tool which gives students automated feedback on the fundamentals of academic writing in a constructive non-judgemental way. They are ready to start using the tool to directly help students. They will build on this by improving their tool and creating interactive writing assistants based on the feedback they gather from users.
